Volunteers are encouraged to donate their time and skills. The Center offers a variety of duties and a flexible schedule.

• Assist Living Skills Training

Make your home, business or place of employment accessible. The Blue Ridge Independent Living Center will show you how.

Inform businesses that they can receive a professional facility survey that will show how they can make their facilities accessible to people with disabilities.

Remind business leaders they must comply with the “Americans with Disabilities Act” (Public Law 101-336) may receive tax credit for making their facilities accessible.
